Rule Clarifications:   Softball clarifications are in BLUE

Time Limit Rule: (Softball and Baseball) There is no specific time
limit on any game.  The only limit is:  "No new inning will start past
2 hours from the start of the game.  However, once the inning starts it must
be completed."  Exception: All 8 year old games will not start an inning after
7:40pm during the week.  All 6pmpm and 9am games will have the official start of the
game as 6pm and 9am regardless of when it starts; therefore, no new inning
will start after 8pm or 11am.  Both teams must be ready to start the game
on time!!!

Exception: If the score is tied, the game will continue until the
tie is broken.  If the game has not reached the 4th inning the game
will continue until the completion of the 4th inning (top half of the
inning if the home team is ahead).

Softball Pitching Rules:  If a pitcher is removed from the mound, she can only
be reinstated if she is moved to a position in the field.  She CANNOT sit out an
inning and then return to the game as a pitcher.

Pinch Runners or Courtesy Runners: Baseball and Softball.
There are NO pinch runners or courtesy runners allowed in the Invitational Tournament.
With a continuous batting order, all batters are in the lineup at all times!

Resuming a Game Suspended by Darkness or Rain: 

Players who were not present at the game before it was halted are not eligible
to play in the continuation game.  Exception:  Player can play in continuation
game if team would forfeit because of lack of players.  This must be approved by
Tournament Committee BEFORE the game starts.

Pitching Rules in a Suspended Game:  In a game suspended by darkness,
or rain and continued the next calendar day, the tournament committee will
publish the specific pitching rules for the resumed game.

Home Run Club:   

                 Please follow these guidelines:

• The Home Run MUST be submitted on line...no exceptions
•  The Home Run MUST be over the fence....no in the park home runs will be accepted.
